📖 How to Assemble Your PaperTime Model
Whether you’re building your very first PaperTime model or adding another to your collection, this guide will help you through every step.
No stress — just calm, creative moments and a beautiful result you’ll be proud of.
🧰 What You’ll Need
Before you start, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace. You’ll need:
- ✂️ Scissors or a craft knife for cutting and trimming
- 📏 Metal ruler for precise, straight folds
- 🧽 Cutting mat or thick paper sheet to protect your table
- 🖌️ Paper glue and a small brush for neat, even application
- 🧺 A bit of patience and curiosity
💡 Everything you need — from glue to cutting mats — is available right here in our store.
📦 Step 1: Unpack Your Kit
Inside your PaperTime package, you’ll find:
- Printed or pre-cut paper sheets with numbered parts
- Clear step-by-step instructions
- A small dose of inspiration, carefully packed inside
Each part is labeled and marked with fold lines and glue tabs, making the process intuitive and enjoyable.

✏️ Step 2: Prepare the Parts
If your kit includes printed outlines, carefully cut out each piece following the outer lines.
If it’s a pre-cut kit, simply pop the parts out of the sheets.
Next, fold along the lines:
- Solid lines fold inward
- Dashed lines fold outward
Take your time — clean folds make all the difference.
You can use a ruler to make the creases crisp and professional-looking.

🧮 Step 3: Follow the Numbers
Each tab and edge has a small number.
Find the same numbers — for example, “12” connects with “12” — and glue them together.
Work in order, section by section.
💡 Tip: Apply glue to the tab (not the edge), spread it evenly with a brush, and hold it for a few seconds until it sets.

🧠 Step 4: Build Slowly and Enjoy the Process
Don’t rush. Watch the model come alive piece by piece — that’s where the magic is.
If you’re working with children, let them help fold or hold parts while the glue sets. It’s a great activity to share and a fun way to develop focus and patience.
Remember: it doesn’t have to be perfect. Handmade means unique.

🖼️ Step 5: Finishing Touches
When your model is complete:
- Wipe away any leftover glue with a slightly damp cloth before it dries.
- Let the model rest for a few hours to ensure everything is firm.
- Choose a special spot to display it — on a shelf, desk, or wall.
If your model is designed for hanging, use a small nail or a piece of quality double-sided tape.
(For hanging models, we recommend our transparent nano tape — available in the accessories section.)

🌟 Extra Tips for a Perfect Result
- Always score folds before cutting — your lines will stay straight.
- Use thin layers of glue; too much will make paper wrinkle.
- Change your knife blade often for clean, smooth cuts.
- Work on smaller sections at a time.
- Take breaks — creativity thrives on calmness.

🧸 For Families and Beginners
PaperTime models are designed for anyone aged 7+ (younger children can help with easier parts).
Mini models take about 30–60 minutes, while larger ones may take a few hours — but every minute is worth it.
